Bollywood Celebrity Manager Anirban Blah Attempted Suicide After Sexual Harassment Allegations

The co-founder of one of the biggest celebrity management company, Anirban Das Blah attempted suicide on October 18, 2018, in Navi Mumbai after being stressed on the recent #MeToo allegations posted on him.

The Celebrity Management firm, KWAN had asked Anirban Blah to step down from his current position in the context of the statement that they fully support the #MeToo movement and punish those who have exploited women in any form or manner. According to Media and Entertainment companies, the past few days have been stressing and depressed due to many women coming up and posing their allegations and a question on how safe is the entertainment industry environment for the co-actors.

In the context of #MeToo movement, Anirban Blah had been alleged of many sexual harassment cases which led to the firm deciding to downgrade his position. Anirban Blah was highly depressed on these remarks and attempted a suicide at a bridge in Vashi, Mumbai.

At the night of October 18, 2018, the police patrol team found Anirban Blah trying to jump off the barricades on the sides of the bridge to jump into the sea. The traffic police caught him and pulled down, brought to Vashi Police Station. The police reported that Blah looked depressed and in tears, suffering from the allegations made on him.

Anirban Blah was handed over to his family who was called upon at the Vashi Police station.

The firm manages prominent stars in the film industry such as Deepika Padukone, Soman Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and Ranbir Kapoor and aims to maintain its reputation and avoid any false allegations leading to Blah being asked to downgrade from his position. Having been sacked by the firm, Blah is quite stressed and requires patience to deal with the situation.

#MeToo movement has opened up many cases of sexual harassment in the industry and the genuinity of each case is at stake, all we can hope is justice to the sufferers.
